I'm happy to announce...

I'm happy to announce the arrival of Jessica Muir, a calm and collected little 3.5 kilo girl. Mum and Jessica are doing just fine, while Dad is running a quick "education" campaign with Jessica's 2yr old sister about the merits of little sisters.

Our new arrival spells a few weeks break from blogging, normal services will resume shortly.

Hi Chris,

Many congratulations, I too have a 2 year gap between my 2 girls and it seems to work pretty good now 18 months on. 2 is definitely far more knackering than 1!

I can heartily recommend "Mr Bear's New Baby" by Debi Gliori, for reading to the elder one, though not too sure how much effect this had on the jealousy mind.

Good luck with the sleeping!

Congrats Chris! I can tell you from experience that the change vector going from one child to two children is greater than the zero-to-one change vector (and don't get me started on the two-to-three one).

Best wishes to you and your family.

Congratulations, to you and MOM. It was Mother's Day here in the States - how appropriate. And MY mother's birthday.

Ahh, memories ....

Surely, you can still blog a little during the middle of the night, while you try to get Jessica back to sleep ;)
