Once fetched/incremented they cannot be rolled back. From a development point of view you therefore cannot rely on them being sequential.

CM.Chris Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06566648350240654621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38586079.post-50629534244223046352010-10-26T22:24:08.822+08:002010-10-26T22:24:08.822+08:00Hi,

When I am creating new product with a popup it is incrementing, but in the popup if I cancel the action, still it will increment, as this should not happen. If you have any information on this scenario please post me.shankarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01778740199315618443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38586079.post-57906541221053729452010-02-07T18:56:23.256+08:002010-02-07T18:56:23.256+08:00Thanks for letting us know Andrejus. When you blog about it could you include a bug # so readers can track the issue please, as well as a code description of the workaround.

Cheers,

CM.Chris Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06566648350240654621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38586079.post-11359555174316823392010-02-07T16:31:41.965+08:002010-02-07T16:31:41.965+08:00Hi,

Connections are not released properly to connection pool, when accessing Sequence from Java or from Groovy.

Only way to avoid connection leaking - to close transaction, after getting new sequence number.

Will post blog on this.

Regards,
AndrejusAndrej Baranovskijhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04468230464412457426noreply@blogger.com
